Reginald Brandenburg (Mr. B.) went to be with our Lord on 7 February 2018 at the age of 72. He was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend, military member, scientist, teacher, and a Minister of the Word of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ along with a multitude of other titles he has held both officially and unofficially.
Anyone who knew him knows he had nothing but love in his heart for everyone he met. He would give you the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet if you needed it. He was a man of passion and compassion for everything and everyone.
He loved knowledge in all forms. He loved to learn, and he loved to teach. He was a believer in "No child left behind" long before the term made it mainstream. He spent his life as a teacher. He taught his younger siblings how siblings should love each other. He showed his children about how a Father should love his family. He taught others children while employed as a teacher about science, math, computers, morals, ethics and how the attention of just one teacher could change a student's entire direction in life. As a Pastor, Bro. Brandenburg taught his congregation how the love of one divine individual, Jesus Christ, who died on The Cross for our sins could allow us to have such depth of love in our hearts for others. As a member of our community, he taught everyone how much of a difference one man, one smile, one handshake, one positive gesture could impact so many people in so many ways just by being who God had made him be.
He loved to give, and he gave freely. He gave of his time, money, belongings, and his love for humanity and he always shared his love for our God, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ.
The family has decided to keep things going in his memory and the way they knew Mr. B. would want it to be. They are setting up a scholarship in his name called "The Mr. B. Scholarship Fund." The details of administration for this scholarship will be released after the official documents and qualifications requirements are established. However, it can be guaranteed the question will be asked at every step if this is how Mr. B. would want it to be handled which would involve extensive prayer and no stone unturned.
