On December 13th, 2019, Dr. Heather Sterling (Hardy) (39) of Turnersville, NJ (Gloucester County), was admitted to Cooper Medical Center with multi-organ failure. Dr. Heather, is a well respected Chiropractor in the region her practice is known as Healing Hands Family Chiropractor, she is wife, and mother of 5 children, ranging from 5-16. Four of her children have special needs that include: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Tourette’s Disorder, and Multi-Systemic Mental Health Needs. Dr. Heather is the primary income earner, as her husband, Jason, is dedicated and focused to managing the daily needs and care of their children.
Dr. Heather has struggled with various health ailments over the last 3 years, culminating in multiple hospitalizations and surgeries over the last 8 months. Her prognosis is not positive and medical staff are not optimistic that she will be an acceptable candidate for necessary transplants. Unfortunately, due to her deteriorating physical condition and protracted hospitalizations, Dr. Heather has been unable to treat patients for the past 6 months, and the family has fallen upon a financial hardship. Her family is left with little to no resource to pay the insurmountable medical bills and meet the “day to day” needs for her family and home.
Dr. Heather’s family is seeking assistance to deliver financial stability during this difficult time while arrangements are made to provide for the family on a long term basis.
