STEVE MORTIMER Australian Lacrosse Team

Hi all,

I am fortunate enough to have been selected in the Australian men's Lacrosse team that will compete in the 2014 FIL World Lacrosse Championship in Denver, Colorado in July this year.

This will be my second senior campaign representing Australia in the green & gold. Each campaign that occurs every 4 years requires hours upon hours of hard work and dedication, each session to be completed in addition to the full time commitments of family, work, study, etc.

Unfortunately Lacrosse is only a minor sport in Australia and whilst we have maintained a world class ranking of 3rd in the world, no financial assistance is provided from the Australian or state government, it is fully funded by the players and coaches.

Consequently to follow our passion and represent Australia, it is a significant financial burden on us, and is why I ask for your help.

I would really appreciate your support and help to represent my country and compete at my absolute full potential in Denver.
