Building our Family

Donation protected
Thank you for helping us with our dream to build our family. We have been trying to grow our little family for the last 5 years; Our prayers were answered and we were blessed with a miracle our daughter Payton in 2011 after a lot of fertility help. Making Payton a big sister and adding to our family is our dream; however we can not physically provide that for her or ourselves anymore. There for, we are adopting and could not be more thrilled! Adoption has always been in our future and now is the right time. The process has been and will be long and the cost is substantial, so far we have paid the high price tag on our own. We need a little help to finish up and bring our baby home to our family. Being parents is what we live for and want more than anything. We have so much love and such an amazing life to give our children and hope that you can help us grow our family! Thank you in advance for all of your Love, Support and Prayers!

Here is our Story.......

After we were married in 2008 we knew we wanted to begin to start our family. It was known because of previous health conditions that getting pregnant might be a long process for Kristin. With faith that we were meant to be parents we began the process of trying on our own and crossed our fingers, prayed a lot and hoped for the best. After a year of no success our doctor decided it was time to be moved to a specialist who could help us with a more aggressive approach. We began charting, blood work, medications and treatments which was a long and expensive process. We knew we were meant to be parents and wanted nothing more than a baby of our own.

In 2010 after about a year with our new doctor we were elated to find out we were expecting! The excitement was unlike anything we could have imagined, however it did not last long as we found out that we had lost the baby. We were devastated but hopeful that it was possible for us to actually get pregnant. So we began with the doctor's appointments, charting, medications and so on all over again. It began feeling like a frustrating full time job, but we loved each other and knew it was going to happen!

We experienced another failed pregnancy before finding out about our pregnancy with our daughter in December of 2010. I am not sure if we were more excited or terrified when we finally heard her heart beat! This was it, this was going to be OUR baby! Our pregnancy was high risk and we were monitored closely and on August 11, 2011 our miracle baby was born! Payton is the light of our lives and neither of us could ever imagine a single day without her in it! We figured out after she was born that she made it because she is so stubborn :)

Our Doctor informed us that if we wanted another we needed to try right away as our chances were not high that another pregnancy would be any easier. It seemed surreal to think that we had this amazing new little baby and that we needed to decided now if we wanted to have more. We had always discussed the number 3 and knew that we did not want our daughter to be an only child. After recovering we started the process again and knew it would take some time. The odds were not in our favor, but having a new little baby was an amazing distraction in the mean time.

In June of 2012 we realized we should have purchased a lotto ticket because we beat the odds and were going to have another beautiful baby! We made it into our 2nd trimester before we lost the pregnancy and Kristin had to have surgery. The surgery had a couple complications and the doctors informed us that the chances of getting pregnant and carrying a baby was pretty much out of the picture. It was devastating and not what we were hoping to hear. Because we are not ones who give up easily we chose not to listen to medical professionals and try 1 last round of meds before we gave up. Knowing the whole time we would adopt one day we wanted to give ourselves one last shot of 1 more biological baby.

With no success we turned to focusing on the adoption that we had been researching since 2010. We researched and read what felt like a million things on adopting and our decision was made. We were going to go forward with a domestic infant adoption. We contacted and selected our agency and then began the long and crazy invasive process of the paperwork, Medical Physicals, Social Worker Interviews, FBI Clearances, State Clearance and the Home Study. At this point we should be able to run for President! :)

We knew there was no price we would not pay to have a family! However the cost of adoption is high. It seems crazy that there are children out there who need homes and people who want these babies but that the price is so enormous. We saved and paid for all of our upfront costs which were very expensive. We had also been paying for previous treatments and the cost of Payton's pregnancy and birth, high risk=$$$$$. We have so much love to give another baby and hope to have our children grow up together! We are hoping that with a little help to finish this last leg of our journey we can make all of that come true! Payton is ready to be a big sister and we are ready to be Mommy and Daddy to another beautiful baby! We just need a little bit of help to bring that dream to life!

We can not thank you enough for all of your Love, Support and Prayers we will take them all!
