Moriah Marston, soul centered psychotherapist & astrologer, author and spiritual teacher and co-founder of The School of Golden Discs, is a highly revered and beloved resident of the hill towns of Western MA. Many who encounter her uplifting presence and joyful teachings feel transformed and inspired.
Right now, our dear Moriah has been bravely battling breast cancer while continuing to serve our community with poise, grace, faith and equanimity.
These past few months have been very difficult as there have been some complications and serious infections which originated in her jawbones—root canals gone rogue, so to speak. The necrosis has compromised her breast, kidney, back and lymphatic system, resulting in at least stage 3 cancer of the breast.
To stem the infection, she has undergone her first surgery through removal of 9 upper teeth and deep cleaning of the gangrene jawbone. There are more surgeries scheduled for later this year if she can survive the treatment of cancer. Meanwhile she awaits the results of a pet scan to determine the extent of the cancer. She will have to undergo many weeks of chemo in order to shrink the cancer before it can be removed surgically.
The complications and infections have compromised her ability to work and earn a living, and so we would like to raise $60, 000, to pay the medical bills and $40,000 to cover mortgage and other living expenses for the next few months to give her time to heal without worry, and to ensure that Zayne and Moriah can continue sustain their life and mission with the School.
There is no question that she has the determination, stamina and strength to persevere.
Let's make sure that finances are not an issue to receiving the care and treatment that she needs and deserves. Medical costs have accumulated quickly for Moriah's healing treatments, medications and doctor visits. As she continues to fight to save her life, let's help her to know that the day-to-day life expenses are covered.
