Montessori Materials for Our Class!

Donation protected

Hello everyone!

My name is Austyn Brickler, a public school Montessori teacher.

Last year, I began my journey as a public Montessori teacher for 3-6 year old children.  I started in a classroom with approximately 15 academic materials, either made/purchased by me or donated by my wonderful family and friends.  This year we have been provided with additional materials, however we are still missing more than just a few of the materials that a fully functioning classroom should have.  Unfortunately, due to budgetary constraints, I\'m on my own with the financial responsibility to meet my student\'s needs.  It has been heart-breaking to not be able to provide my little ones with the materials needed for their education.  My goal is to offer my students at least 95% of materials this year.

What can you do?  Keep reading!

Although we have several families in our school who have made fundraising for our school a part of their commitment, we are still far from our goals.

We need your help!  Please join us in raising much needed funds to purchase materials, equipment, and expand our programs during these difficult economic times. With your donations we will become a stronger and more fruitful school community. Thank you for your support and dedication!

A little history about Montessori...

Dr. Maria Montessori first opened her Children's House in the slums of Rome to serve impoverished children who had been left wandering the streets while their parents worked. Montessori schools have since been held in churches, villages and even refugee camps. Today, the Montessori Philosophy has been embraced by world leaders, teachers and parents who are dedicated to bringing a holistic approach to children's well-being for over 100 years.

I am fully dedicated to Dr. Maria Montessori's belief in "Education and Peace" for my students. My dedication to Dr. Montessori's work includes the development of community: within our classrooms, our school and our families.  Montessori students are known for their appreciation of culture, ability to be socially responsible and for their compassion, as well as all other social characteristics that contribute to a strong, peaceful and nurturing community.
