Montana's Longest Drive

Montana's Longest Drive's mission is to write a book that promotes golf in Montana by telling the stories of the people who play golf in Montana.
Montana's Longest Drive started with the question: “Is it possible to play every golf course in Montana in one summer?” and snowballed from there. The idea grew into a plan to visit every golf course in the Treasure State, play golf with a local, and write about the experience.
So starting May 10th, I will play every golf course in Montana with new playing partners at every stop telling the stories of the people I play with, where to get a good burger and beer at every stop, and what a full summer of living on the road playing golf in Montana is like. Sharing the stories and photos through social media and on the website.
The funds raised for Montana's Longest Drive will help cover the expenses of gas and greens fees that come with driving throughout all of Montana and help with marketing the manuscript to publishing companies after the manuscript is complete.
As for a little info on myself, my name is Sean Ryan and I was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana. Currently, I am a graduate student at Montana Tech of the University of Montana working for my Master of Science in Technical Communication. This project and all the work of developing the website and marketing Montana’s Longest Drive is part of my graduate project. I played collegiate golf at Montana Tech as an undergrad and am sporting a 0.8 handicap that I sometimes live up to.
