Our friend Monica Stypinski was recently diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML), a fast-growing form of cancer of the blood and bone marrow. It came as such a shock and we would all like to do whatever we can to help.
Monica is a single parent - her oldest son is a sophomore in college, her second son is a senior in high school, and her daughter is a sophomore. Monica is undergoing in-patient chemo treatment right now at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, and at some point will need a bone marrow transplant. Her treatment and recovery could take 6-8 months.
Monica has six brothers and sisters who, along with her mom, will be coming to stay with the kids on a rotating basis. Hopefully one of them will be a match to donate bone marrow as well!
We are fundraising so Monica can worry less about paying for her medical expenses and focus more on getting healthy. Thank you so much for helping Monica and her children during this unpredictable time!
