I must admit, at one time I was the poster child for "The Woe is Me" campaign, but over the past 31 years I've learned that life is all about the "moments of change" that happen.
My goal is to eventually create a scholarship fund that gives to minorities that have been adopted and have endured trauma in their lives. Why? Because that's me. And maybe you.
Having been left on the doorstep of an orphanage in India in the 1980s with the hopes of a better life and not knowing who created me, losing both of my adopted parents before age 12 to cancer, broken, mended and inspirational relationships that motivated me to get an education to better my life and my purpose has pushed me to want to give others a piece of mind...a moment of change ...if at all possible.
Working together with my amazing husband to raise our daughters makes starting a fund a little difficult but with your help and through this campaign you will be able to give us peace of mind through paying off educational debt, writing a book about my life to help others know that the "woe is me" can become "moments of change" for them also. AND creating a fund for kids needing a future.
This fund would be for braces, books, education, summer camps, and so much in between. The possibilities of making "moments of change" for someone else is endless and unforgettable.
