Memorial Plaque for Specialist Mitchell K Daehling

Donation protected

Specialist Mitchell K. Daehling was killed in action in Afghanistan in may of 2013 and the Town of Dalton and the State of Massachusetts have decide to name a bridge in his honor as a fallen citizen of the town.  We are looking to provide a separate bronze plaque memorializing Mitchell's sacrifice.

Though it's been nearly six years since his passing we have finally gotten the pieces falling into place with the state to get the bridge named and will have the ceremony dedicating the bridge (and hopefully this plaque) June 1st of 2019 and we are hoping to have the plaque funded by April 15th of 2019 to ensure it can be completed in time.

The plaque we are looking to fund will be approx 18" x 28", solid bronze and located near the bridge named for him.  The plaque will have information about Mitchell's and his service.

Though there are many involved in the final execution of the ceremony surrounding the dedication of the bridge and plaque, I am proud to have been a driving force behind making this happen and will be solely responsible for managing the funds raised for this memorial. Any funds above and beyond what is required for the plaque will be donated to the scholarship fund that was set up in Mitchell's name after he was laid to rest.
