Mitchell Family Med/Final Expenses

On Friday, October 6th, 2017, Kristina and her brother, Blake, sister-in-law, Ashleigh, and a friend, Chris, were involved in a horrific motor vehicle accident. Blake and Chris suffered minor injuries. Kristi is in Shock Trauma ICU and Ashleigh, our beautiful angel, has gone to be with our Heavenly Father.  

Blake has lost the love of his life, his best-friend and the absolute best mother of his beautiful boys. Blake and our entire family is devastated beyond belief. This past March, Blake was let go from his job and has been working for his father-in-law's small business. He has been searching for a permanent FT position but they do not have health nor life insurance.   

Kristi is currently in Shock Trauma ICU putting up a fight....a fight no one should have to endure.  She has suffered multiple lacerations including an evulsion on her posterior scalp, multiple facial fractures, rib fractures and an open fracture of her left humerus, bruised lungs, bruised kidneys, and a  bruised heart. A pneumo and hemothorax w/ chest tubes. Severe road rash and lacerations, splenic laceration with a small hematoma without further bleeding. She has been sedated and on mechanical ventilation as supportive care is the only treatment for vital organ bruising. She will be in ICU for many days and in the hospital for at least 2 weeks. Kristi is a fighter and will pull through this for her Brynleigh. Brynleigh is Kristi's sweet, sassy 3 year old little girl. She LOVES her mamma!Kristi is an amazing mother and would do anything for her baby girl. Brynleigh's father in not in the picture and doesn't offer any help.  Kristi will be out of work for quite some time as she heals and recovers from these significant injuries. 

We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support we have received durring the most difficult and tragic time. We wholeheartedly thank each and every one for the texts, calls and messages. We are covered in prayer!! In time, we will be OK. And as Blake and Ashleigh's 4 year old son, Brycen, said "It's OK. I'm alright. My mommy has her beautiful angel wings now".
