Misty's medical treatment & financial needs

Donation protected
Two years ago my wife, Misty Tharp, was left disabled by an unknown illness. Although our lives have been turned upside down and we lost our home in the process, we have not given up trying to find a doctor who can diagnose and treat her condition. She cannot work any longer, I can only work part time so I can take care of her & family, and we dont qualify for Medicaid or SSI in state of Texas because we own a small business and cannot liquidate the assets as the state requires because our bank has first lien.

A little history about Misty, I guess I should say us, because in marriage God recognizes us as one. My name is Bobby Tharp and my wife's name is Misty. We are writing this together although I'm the one doing the typing as Misty has an unknown illness that causes her to loose all muscle control, as well as severe exhaustion and sensory overload among many other effects on her body. She hasn't always been this way. We have been married for 20 years this December. We have two wonderful children together and a small business we've ran since 2008. Misty had a career in banking, and volunteered at local hospitals with her golden retriever "Houston" for the animal assisted therapy group known as "Therapet". She was also very involved at our children's school where she was Vice President of the PTO, and if you are one of her friends then you knew you could always count on her for help or advice. Then one day in September of 2016 Misty's life was turned upside down. I personally thought she was having a stroke. Slurred speech and loss of muscle control, one side of her face appeared paralyzed, I called 911 immediately. The hospital ran test after test, but as the paralysis spread throughout her body, the decision was made to put her in ICU on a ventilator in case her lungs stopped. Heres where a miracle happens: Jesus came to see Misty that night in ICU. She spoke with Him as He stood at the end of her bed. He asked if she would like to come home with Him. She answered she would like to but she wants to stay a little longer and watch her children grow up. So He agreed with her and instructed her to raise each hand and with His touch on each of her fingers, she was no longer paralyzed.
Now I know there are some doubters and haters reading this, so I will just remind you to please be nice and we will pray for you. Jesus never told her a timeline or how long it would take for her to be healed, and we all know whether you want to admit it or not, God heals us through the hands and minds of our doctors. In this case the paralysis disappeared almost immediately. That morning with the first visiting hours I was there, and saw her sitting upright in bed eating breakfast and the nurse sitting crosslegged behind her brushing Misty's hair like they were best friends. A witness to a miracle.
Ok so fast forward over course of two years. It has not been an easy trial. God allows these hardships to take place to make us stronger right?? No, He allows them so He can show us how much He loves us by carrying us through. Even though Misty was no longer paralyzed, she still has many other agonizing effects of whatever this illness is. Severe exhaustion makes a simple task like brushing teeth almost impossible. Just breathing has become harder over the last few months. She's very winded from just moving about the house. One appointment in town can set her back a weeks worth of strength. Everything she does has severe consequences. Some days are hard just to eat & drink. Every muscle is effected. Throat, jaw, arms, legs, neck, fingers.. the most recent symptoms are affecting her sight. Pupils aren't the same size and one eyelid is staring to droop. Her optometrist said her left optic nerve has begun to swell. We have been to every specialist in the state of Texas it seems, and had every test ran at least 3 times, and everything comes back negative or slightly abnormal, not enough for a diagnosis. Although all of her symptoms match that of an illness known as Myasthenia Gravis, no doctor we have met is willing to prescribe treatment or a diagnosis based on symptoms alone, please pray this changes.
Anyways, I'm sure you guys are wondering how you can help. Well. Heres what's up. Insurance wont pay for at home healthcare, so that's all on me, our little business took a hard hit because I got down to just a working few hours a week so I can take care of Misty, take kids to school, help around house and take her to doctors appointments. It wasn't long before I was forced to cut insurance back to a cheaper plan with higher deductible. It wasn't long before we were selling all of our furniture and belongings to pay past due bills.

It wasn't long before we got a foreclosure notice.

It wasn't long before we were living in an RV at my workshop.

But it also wasn't long before God showed us how blessed we still were.
We thank God for the bank that graciously allowed us to stay in our home for five months past foreclosure date just so our kids could finish the school year without the stress of moving.

We thank God for placing us here at our business because living here means valuable time can be spent on the slow rebuilding process from nearly closing our doors, and I'm right here if Misty needs anything.

We thank God for our friends, family, parents and teachers who help with picking kids up from school, tutoring, groceries along with other errands, and just being there for us.

We thank God for all of the doctors, nurses & specialists who see Misty and do their best to help.

We thank God for your support, whether financial donation or by saying a prayer for us, Thank you and God bless you and your family.
