I have Neurological Lyme disease and will be starting on Antibiotics and Supplements that will consist of both oral and/or IV Therapy. This treatment is expected to take 12-24 months of intensive care under the direction of Dr. Traci Leonardt. She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and has an additional Fellowship in Integrative Medicine based in Largo, FL.
My State Funded Medicaid Insurance deductible is $3,850 MONTLY (Share of Cost Program), so as many know this is simply a catastphic plan and for Disabled patients we cannot receive any other insurance in the State of Florida. Thus, we must pay all medical expenses out of pocket each month, leaving my family in a huge hardship.
1) The treatment cost is approximately $700 per month for medicines and supplements.
2) Medical durable goods can cost an additional $150 per month for tape, gauze, antiseptic wipes and ointments, IV wraps, covers, needles, syringes.
3) Medical Transportation Costs for gas to and from the Doctors office (44mi. each way to Dr. L office and should expect to visit every month) plus Hospital Visits, and visits to Primary Care, Cardiologist, Oncologist, OB/GYN, Neurologist, Optho-Neurologist, Endocrinologist, Pulmonologist, Speech Therapy and Infectious Disease Doctors throughout the year. Estimated costs monthly will be $100 for medical transportation costs.
Total estimated Medical Cost per month is $950 and in total our family is raising $22,800. In order to defray this cost, we are asking that a small donation of $10, $25, $50, or $100 be given monthly; this would help our family tremendously. Or, if you would like to donate a one-time gift of $25, $50 $100, $250, $1000, or even set your own amount; this would be a huge support.
Our friends and family have been our life-line in this past 11 year journey through Neurological Lyme disease. We know that with God for us, who or what can be against us. We can beat this!!! Thank you for your unending support.
