Mission Trip: El Salvador

Dear Friends,

2013 has been an incredible year for our family! As I look back, I just stand in awe of all the different ways God has blessed our family. Our marriage is stronger than ever and we are finally getting answers to Xander's neurological problems. It just brings tears to my eyes when I think about all the ways God is blessing us.

Our God is so awesome. We are just so happy to serve Him in all the ways he has been calling us. We are actively involved in several local ministries and are always finding more ways to serve our church. Recently Allen and I started teaching Sunday school! That's been quite the adventure, but I will save those stories for another time.

We are writing this letter to share our latest call to serve. In February 2014, we will be going on a mission trip to El Salvador. God has really put it on our hearts to go there and share His amazing love with the poor and especially with the children of El Salvador. We will partner with a local church in El Salvador and travel to different villages and orphanages to share the gospel and our personal testimonies of how God has transformed our lives.

We believe God is going to use us to make an eternal difference in so many lives on this trip and are so thankful to be a part of his awesome plan. We pray that as we send these letters out to our close friends and family that God will call some of you to help us on this trip. We need support in two ways. First and foremost, we are looking for team members that will support our trip's success and safety with prayers. We are asking for people to pray that God will reveal His Truth and soften the hearts of the many unbelievers there. We are also asking people to pray that God will prepare the missionary team to be used for His work and to be kept safe.

The second way we need help, is financially. This mission trip will cost our family $4500. This amount just covers the cost of the trip and does not account for the time off from work. We are confident that since God has called us to do His work that He will also provide a way for us to cover these expenses, by touching some of your hearts to support this trip with a financial donation. Any amount is greatly appreciated and crucial for our ability to go.

Please prayerfully consider how you can be involved in helping send God's love and message to this impoverished country. We are looking forward to seeing how God is going to transform so many lives, including our own.
