Miss Charlie's journey to recovery

Donation protected
I am a neglect rescue case, from Chowchilla California. I have a severe skin disease and in a lot of pain. I suffer from cornea scar, eye infections, long nails, tapeworms, diarrhea and swollen paws. I am demodex positive. When I am done with my treatments I can be adopted out to a forever home. Finding out what is wrong with me and the treatments will be the expensive part. Please help me.

Hi my name is Miss Charlie. Dr's think I am 8 months old. I am a Presa Canario/American Staffordshire Terrier/Bulldog mix (DNA Tested). Full DNA report will be given to my adopted family as well as my complete health records. Here is my story from my POV.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I showed up on a stranger’s porch. He called for someone to come and get me. On September 13th 2017 Madera County Animal Shelter came and picked me up.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
I am sick, scared and showing signs of physical abuse as well. ACO Michelle took me to see a vet right away and started me on treatment. I was placed on a treatment plan till a rescue can come get me.
09/13/2017 At the shelters vets.

Shelter staff Sandy put out a call for my rescue on the same day. Sandy knew to tag Miss Gabriel Foundation in the post. MGF responded on September 14th 2017 asking about my condition and if any local rescues were coming to help me. No one was coming and no one was interested.
09/13/2017 A call for help.

As it so happens, a lady named Katie had found a paid transport that could take me as well as the other rescue down to MGF but it was the next day. MGF agreed to take me on if I could make the transport. Sandy and a lady named Debbie helped arranged for me to make the transport from one city to the other and onto MGF. Michelle drove me to the transporter named Cheryl to get me to MGF. I am in need of ongoing medical attention so I was then transferred to the MGF on September 15th 2017. This is my journey to my path into getting healthy.
09/15/2017 I have arrived at MGF.

I saw my Dr on September 18th 2017. It was my first checkup visit to set up a plan. I am negative for heartworm and lyme disease. I am too young to do an xray yet. Due to young age of 6 months old a blood panel was not ran (yet). I have eye infections, my right cornea is scared and secondary skin infections on my skin pretty much everywhere. I smell yeasty as it is all over my skin. I tested positive for demodex. My nails are long. My stools are loose and full of worms. I was given a good treatment plan at the shelter so we are going to continue whats is being done. It is working already and I am less raw. I was sent with more prescriptions to address other issues I am also dealing with.

Dr Liana wants to see me often to check on my progress for healing
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
I will get better but only under medical treatments. My Dr visits may be frequent, at first, due to my severe condition. Diagnosing can also be costly. I hope you can find it in your hearts and pocket books to please donate to my rehabilitation and recovery. 100% of these donations go into my care.

Donations are welcomed and are always needed for the veterinary/daily care of sick dogs like me. By your donations, the neglected cases get to come here into MGF for a second chance.

I did not want to get this sick. I wanted to be loved and cared for. My previous owners let me get this way. My medical bills will be ongoing during my treatments to get better. The hope is to not need a medical plan after I heal and repair. I want to live and I want to find my fur-ever family. It will take a village to help me. I need your help please.

How To Help Miss Charlie

Please consider making a small tax deductible donation for my medical care. Also help get the word out and share my plea. Without your help, MGF cannot rescue more like me. Community donations are their only source of funding.

100% of these donations will go to my medical cost. Should my medical bills get paid off, it will go towards my care and feeding that the Howell's are currently paying for out of their personal funds. They are unpaid volunteers. This foundation is their way to help dogs like Miss Gabriel Howell.

Please consider signing up for a $1 or more, monthly reoccurring donation.

Thank you!
