Melody's parents need safe car to transport their precious cargo.

Melody was born with Arthrogryposis. Every little finger and toe, elbow and knee is effected Melody has a very long road ahead of her.
There is no cure for Arthrogryposis.
Arthrogryposis is a group of disorders characterized by multiple joint contractures throught the body present at birth.
Arthrogryposis is very rare among births and is caused by decreased fetal movements in the womb. Babies need to move their limbs to develop muscle and joints. If the joints don't move, extra tissue develops around the joint and fixes it in place.
All of Melody's joints have been affected. Her knees are dislocated as well as club feet(which is common with Arthrogryposis) None of her little joints bend.
Her little arms lay limp at her sides.

Melody is 16 days old and is on her second pair of casts.

Melody is such a good baby and is a sweet angel.

Our goal is to help Melody reach her maximum potential.
Melody will need castings and splints every week for a year or more. (as she grows)
Early vigorous physical therapy can help stretch out the contracted joints and develop weak muscles. Splints can also help stretch joints. Orthopedic surgery may also be able to relieve or correct joint problems.

We are trying to raise funds for safe transportation and gas to hospital for treatments, tests and cast changes.
As well as many medical needs this young child is going to face in her near future.
(special walkers, shoes, Orthopedic insoles, braces, the list goes on.) Heaven forbid a wheel chair..

We are hoping with aggressive treatment Melody will be able to walk and feed herself. Maybe give us a hug...
