Help kids and teens build 100 cities of the Bible in the game of Minecraft!

Experience the stories of the Bible like never before! Go on quests, explore ancient cities, discover hidden treasures, and compete in skills challenges to unlock exclusive areas.

Project Scope:  Minecraft Holy Land - City Construction (Phase 1)
Estimated Build Time:  900 hours
Cities:  100 Old and New Testament locations
Needs:  10 computers, 2 whiteboards, and electrical work.

In partnership with Wind & Wheat Ministries Center of Innovation, we are building the entire geographic region depicted in the Old and New Testament in Minecraft.  This region includes most territories of Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

As we finalize the geographical landscape, kids, teens, and young adults are reconstructing Jerusalem, Capernaum, Nazareth, Shiloh, Bethel, Masada, Bethlehem, Caesarea Maritima, Caesarea Philippi, Bethsaida, Jericho, and many more cities.

Your contribution will help us purchase the computer equipment and software and other tools needed to complete this project.

The primary objective of this project is to demonstrate the effectiveness of digital platforms (like games) as a way of creating meaningful and engaging encounters in the story of Jesus through immersive storytelling.

--------------------------------------------------

We love games...and many other people do, too.  Research shows that close to 1.5 billion people play digital games - Minecraft has more than 34 million players.

As much as we enjoy playing games, our goal is not to create a void that detracts from genuine relationships.  Instead, we seek opportunities to play "Games on Purpose" and believe that games offer an awesome framework for highly engaging encounters through stories.  In the right context, games are an excellent learning tool for reinforcing important skills in critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, trust, memory retention, and understanding.

NOTE:  Minecraft is also used in schools around the world for immersive learning experiences to teach subjects like biology, chemistry, history, math, and language arts.  You can see a 1-minute video of how a school teacher uses Minecraft for his Humanities classroom (World of Humanities).
