Mike Edmonds Heart Surgery
My brother Mike Edmonds had a St Jude heart valve put in 24 years ago and it has developed an aneurysm in the aorta above it. So the valve and about 4 inches of his aorta will have to be replaced. That is the part of aorta that major arteries tie in for lungs, legs and other organs.
Mike is on Coumadin (Blood Thinner) and cant have surgery immediately. He will have a heart catherization on Oct 9th and the valve replacement on the 11th at UAB. He will be in CCU for about a week.
He is self employed as well as being a pastor of a small church. He has health insurance but faces extremely high deductibles, co-pays and loss of income for many weeks.
He is a proud man and would never ask anyone for help so I am doing this for him, Cindy (wife) and Anna (Daughter).
He will not be able to work for at least 8 to 12 weeks and will incure massive medical bills for the heart surgery. I ask that if you can help relieve some of the stress financially he and his family will be very grateful. If you are unable to help please keep Mike in your prayers.
