Hi my name is Michelle Sanfiel. I am a wife and mom to 4 children. I am disabled and unable to walk. I have multiple sclerosis on top of several other health issues. I am very dependent of my powerchair to get me around my house, stores, ect... it's pretty much my lifeline in & out of my house. My form of independence. My husband and dad built me a manual wheelchair lift & painted it my favorite color "orange" and unfortunately someone decided to jump up and down on it and broke it. So we have the powerchair tied on the best we can. It was also at a doctor appointment where someone hit it while it was parked in the parking lot and left without saying anything, now we can hardly use it because it doesn't want to stay up. I'm so scared my powerchair will end up in the middle of the road or maybe in the middle of the turnpike! Or cause a terrible accident. Or that the remaining pieces break and that's it, I'm unable to leave the house. So that means I can't get to my appointments or my MS or United for Care events. What is needed is an electrical powerchair lift but this is something that is not in our budget and can't afford it. So I decided to set up a go fund me page to see if family & friends could help me in purchasing and having it professionally installed... to prevent anything else from happening to it. An electrical powerchair lift,would be such a blessing, this way hubby and kids don't break there backs with the manual lift. And so that I can leave my house and do the things I need to do with my family. Any amount is help, there is nothing to little because it all adds up.
