Michelle Shorey Memorial Fund

Michelle Shorey was an intellegent and beautiful woman who overcame great adversity in her life.  She was in 8 or 9 foster homes before being adopted, and after being adopted she never felt like she blended into the family.  She was emancipated at the age of 17 and after her adoptive father died, had limited contact with the family.

She earned her bachelor's degree from CSU Fresno in Mass Communication and Journalism and was working on her Masters Degree in Human Resources.

Michelle worked for a local TV station, was a Deputy for Fresno Sheriff's Office, and most recently a Probation Technician for the County of Fresno.

Michelle loved animals and they were party of her therapy growing up.  She was also an avid cyclist and achieved many advanced rides including a centurian and Kaiser Pass (several times).

Michelle passed away tragically, and because of her estranged relationship with her adoptive family, her estate is being administred by the Public Administrator.  Her estate will likely not cover a proper funeral.  Michelle's friends are requesting donations to cover final expenses for Michelle so that she has a final resting place of honor. "Once a cop...always a cop".

We hope to show Michelle how much she mattered. Please help us.
