Please Save My House & Bury My Mom

Thank you for taking the time to visit my gofundme page. On November 27th, 2017, only four days after Thanksgiving, I lost my mother Michele Pitts to liver and lung cancer. She was 51 years old. My mother had only been diagnosed with cancer seven months ago and immediately began chemotherapy treatments, so her sudden death was a shock to my family. My mother was such a fighter, often taking herself to treatments when I had to work, so I never imagined her fight would be over so soon. My mother was an only child and so am I, so the financial and emotional burdens have been a lot for me to bear without siblings, aunts, or uncles. I'm currently in jeopardy of losing the home my grandmother purchased for my mother and me over 22 years ago. 


Unfortunately, my mother didn't have a will or life insurance, so everything is up to me. Losing the home I grew up in would be devastating, but at 22 years old, I'm not sure I can handle the cost of a funeral and all the bills myself. I work two jobs, one of which I've had since I was 17. My second job deals with mentoring children, and as much as I love my work, my two jobs aren't enough for me to manage all my new living expenses without my mother. I'd like to raise money to bury my mother and pay off the house she and my grandmother left me. My mother's funeral will cost approximately $10,000, and I'd need $20,000 to finish paying off our home. I'm someone who prides himself on working hard and earning all that I have, but at this very difficult time in my life, I really need and would appreciate the kindness of others. Anything you can offer, even if it's only a $1, will be greatly appreciated and wisely used.
