Lifeguards For Life

Recently, Mike Glusac, a fellow ocean lifeguard and brother to us all discovered that he has a tumor on his left lung.

The shocking news came only days after Mike was awarded a full time position with Boca Raton Ocean Rescue. After working for two years part time limited to only 24 hours per week, this was a huge deal!

Mike is the kind of guy that is always on time, gives 110%, and never calls in sick, so when he did during his first week as a full timer we knew something was wrong.

A biopsy later revealed our worst fear. The tumor on Mike's lung is malignant. Mike will require prompt aggressive treatment. Unfortunately, during this time Mike will be unable to fulfill his duties and he has only just begun his career. Mike has no sick/vacation time at his disposal.

We do not know all of the facts regarding Mike's treatment plan at this time. However, we do know that Mike needs as much support as we can give him.

This page will continue to be updated as more information becomes available. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Mike and his family. The funds will support his fight.

We are all confident Mike will overcome this tiny roadblock. He will have his toes back in the sand  where he belongs.

Mike made the choice to dedicate his career to saving lives. Now, together we can save his!
