Mike Alford's Goodbye

Michael B. Alford was called to the Lord on July 13th, 2017. He had struggled so hard for so many years due to complications from serving our country, valiantly, for many years. His exposure to Agent Orange left him legally blind and severely diabetic. He achieved final peace in his home after an extended stay in the hospital.
Mike was generous to a fault throughout his whole life. He helped so many people in so many ways, always with a loving smile on his face. Many who have been down on their luck have been lifted up by his gracious spirit, emotionally, financially, and physically. The whole world, and certainly his immediate community, is lessened in spirit by his passing. . .
Now the family is faced with the terrible burden of giving Mike the send off that he deserves. But the hard reality is that the money is simply not there. Funerals are outrageously expensive. No trace of a rumored life insurance policy has been found (if you are privy to information regarding that, please leave a message with Jenny Alford DeLeon or here). Michael survived on the VA benefits that he received, and his loving daughter devoted herself to his full-time care. They had enough to live on with no extra.
In short, we need help to give this amazing veteran the goodbye that he so dearly deserves!
