Mardi Gras Marathon for Michael Brady--Feb 13, 2011

I am asking for you help in the form of a donation for Michael Patrick Brady.  He is the son of Anne and Mike Brady, my friends from my high school years in Grand Beach, Michigan.  When Michael was 3 years old he was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, which had metastasized to his bone and adrenal gland.  Since then, Anne and Michael moved the family for specialized cancer treatment in Memphis, TN at St. Jude.  They have been there over the last several months and Michael has been responding well to chemotherapy.  Anne keeps a blog, on which she posts updates to Michael\'s condition.  This has been a long struggle for my friends and the fight is not over.  Michael is still receiving treatment and has had a catheter infection this week, which requires him to be in the hospital for antibiotic treatment.   

So, I\'ve decided to run a marathon and raise $5,000 dollars for Michael and his family. This race will take place in New Orleans on February 13, 2011.  This is my first marathon and I\'ve been training for it since September 2010.  Training has been difficult and taxing, especially the long runs in the early morning and in the cold.  I\'ve injured my self twice, so I have delayed in creating this site for Michael, but I\'ve since recovered and I\'m committed to running the race.  This cause is important to me and running for Michael has kept me going.

Please support me in raising this money to help Michael and his family in his fight against cancer.  I will match each donation with 10%.  I will update you with pictures of my finish and I will send the donation that evening to Anne and Mike.
