Meredith's Tumor Surgery - Dec 2nd

Our sweet friend Meredith has been diagnosed with a tumor on her spinal cord in her neck at C3. The name of the tumor is Cervical Intramedullary Hemangioblastoma. Her only option is to have surgery to remove the tumor so that she does not become paralyzed. Her Neuro-Surgeon is optimistic that he can remove the tumor but has explained the risk associated with this type of surgery. Given the location of the tumor her sensory functions are at the most risk for deficits after the surgery. She will be having surgery December 2nd at noon and will be out of work for about 8 weeks. Meredith, her husband and kids will be facing many obstacles including recovery and financial hardship.  If you know Meredith, you know she is always the one giving.
