Merle the Smoke Rise dog

Merle is no longer a vagrant in our neighborhood ... He has been loved on by MANY in this community. We are all going to help a little to give him a big old chance at a great life!
On Monday (3/28) Merlin was neutered, given vaccinations of DA2PP, Bordetella and Rabies, he was also Chipped (because he was not chipped) and he was heartworm tested which came back positive. His overall health is good and according to the vet less than 2 years old. He weighed 57 lbs, under all that fur and attribute that to all the food everyone was feeding him. He was not a normal stray pup living on the streets, he roamed a nice neighborhood. His back leg may have an injury and will jump if touched so, going to have it x-rayed when I go for the h/w treatment options. Tried to brush him and cut a few of the mats out but not getting too far he is just covered in briers and dreadlocks so giving him a couple of days to recuperate and then get him groomed. Someone thought he might be a labradoodle or a goldendoodle hoping a bath and hair cut will help tell us. Thanks everyone!!!
