Memorial Fund for Juanita Ocampo

Donation protected

Greetings to All,

We are updating the previous Go Fund me page with the tragic announcement that Juanita Preciado Ocampo has ended her battle with cancer on January 6th, 2021. We are devastated to share that while she was receiving a routine treatment she began to have complications. She was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital in Yuma, Arizona, where her body currently resides.

We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the previous donations and efforts to share our story. Our first obstacle is bringing her back to California to be close to her loved ones. Transportation alone is $5,000 dollars. We plan to use donations for transport as well as any funeral costs as we try to circumvent this pandemic that has affected us all in more ways than one.

Our mother/grandmother was an amazing human being. She always put others needs ahead of hers. Whether it was trying to feed every person she encountered or just something as simple as seeing a complete stranger walking up the street and stopping to see if they needed a ride, she showed that she cared, not only for her family but for every person she came in contact with. She was the kind of person that would stop and talk to somebody she had never met and could sit there for hours carrying a conversation about anything because, again, she really did genuinely care. She was truly one of a kind.

Grandma Juanita, as many in town called her, has left us with many great memories and life long lessons that we will cherish and keep in our hearts forever. We appreciate any financial support and prayers you find in your hearts to help the family give her the memorial she deserves.
