If you know The Balbuena Family, you know how difficult it is for them to ask for help, especially when it involves money. They are a strong positive family.
But, everything changed for them, they are in need of the community. They have 2 beautiful - talented daughters, who depend on them for everything. Both girls were born with a rare condition called cystic fibrosis.
After a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis Melissa faces the challenge of her life. She is fighting for her life and is kicking ass. Melissa is currently hospitalized at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
Her whole life she has been in and out of hospital, missing birthdays, Christmas, and milestones. She is still one of the most strongest, amazing, brave girls out here. Along with her awesome sister Crystal who is also hospitalized in the room next to Melissa. These young ladies are unbelievable.
Melissa is a talented artist - one of a kind. She loves ART and seeing people happy.
She loves visitors and playing games. Her favorite color is pink and purple. Her best friend is Sheepie. Her incredible panda drawing is hanging up on the 12th floor. We are all so proud of her and her sister.
