Pete Mele Memorial College Fund

In April 2014, Pete Mele lost his courageous battle with Leukemia.  The outpouring of love and support from friends and family has been tremendous, but Pete had a dream for his kids that has not yet been fulfilled.  The purpose of this campaign is to help fulfill that dream.

I was privileged to have worked with Pete at Thomson Reuters for more than 10 years, and from the moment he was first diagnosed, Pete's only concern was for his boys, Peter and Raymond.  He fought fiercely for many years to win the battle against cancer so he could see his boys graduate from high school and go to college. Sadly, he will not be here to witness that, but I want to make sure that his sons don't miss out on the opportunity to go to college.  Throughout his illness, Pete was such an inspiration to all of us -- never giving up and always being so positive -- and I want to make sure his spirit carries on!

I'm establishing this campaign in Pete's honor to help make sure that Peter and Raymond have the opportunities they so deserve.   Pete was one of the most loving and generous individuals I have ever met, and it's time for us to all return his many kindnesses by giving from our hearts to a college fund for his sons.  Please contribute as much as you can to help make sure that Peter and Raymond have every opportunity possible to realize the dream their father had for them.  And be sure to spread the word and share this mission!
