Megan's 6 Month Europe Mission YWAM

Hi friends! I am beyond excited to share what I’m doing with you all, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store! Read below to see what it’s all about. :) 

Why YWAM?

After finishing high school, I decided that I was going to take a gap year to figure out what I was supposed to do. I originally thought that I was just going to use this year off, to maybe work and prepare to go to possibly go to a university next fall. The past few months I have been really praying a lot about what the next step is (because I wasn't completely sold on my plan lol). But this one day in August, I was sitting in my living room, and almost out of nowhere YWAM popped into my head. So, I decided to look up their website to learn more about it! After reading about it more and getting my parents support, I started getting pretty excited about all of it. After looking at several locations, I felt strongly that I needed to do the 6 month Backpacking Europe DTS based out of Paris, France. This is a huge step for me, and something I probably never would have done a year ago because I wanted to stay in my comfort zone. But, I've been learning over this past year, that God wants to bring me out of my comfort zone and learn and do so much more for Him! The school starts in January, so I will need to raise all of the money by the end of December!

What is YWAM DTS?

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a worldwide missionary organization from many ages, cultures, and Christian traditions committed to serving Jesus throughout the world. Their common purpose is to know God and make Him known! DTS or Discipleship Training School is a 6 month program that seeks to bring you into a deeper relationship with God, while giving an opportunity to discover your passions and part in God's purpose for the world. For my particular DTS, I will start off  by living in Paris, France for 3 months for my Lecture phase. Lecture phase is where we live at the YWAM Paris Connect base, and during that time we will receive powerful teaching from speakers and missionaries from around the world. The lecture phase will provide classroom learning, community bonding, and heart change. 
After the lecture phase, we will start the outreach phase. Outreach is where we go into different cities around Europe and the U.K., sharing the love of God by partnering with others to share the gospel! I know that I will learn so much from this experience, and I can't wait to do it!

But, I can’t do this without help from you!
I will need approximately $8500 to do this trip! Anything helps, and I would so appreciate your support!

How will my donation be spent?

Funds raised will be spent to pay for the YWAM Europe DTS program, which includes meals and lodging ($5,250). The rest will be used for airfare to and from the training site, passport, visa, and various needed supplies for the trip.
