Medical expenses for Lavernius the cat

This is Lavernius. He is my daughter's emotional support animal.
When "Vernie" first came to live with us, he was just "the cat" He's been with us for two years now and he is our precious Boi and we love him so much.
Two days ago, our hearts were broken, when Vernie had a run in with a dog and he was badly injured. His Jaw was broken, and his face lacerated and his tongue split.
The incident occurred late at night and the nearest emergency animal center was a two hour drive, so we bundled him up and drove to the center to have him looked at. The very kind staff got him stabilized and we were able to get him in to his vet yesterday. That is where he is now, and he will need surgery to repair the damage.
My daughter has some mental health and emotional challenges, and Vernie is a stabilizing influence on her. She is at a loss right now. The truth is, we ALL are. This sweet, ball of fluff and whiskers, with the sweetest nature you could ever ask for, has made a place in all our hearts and he is truly a member of our family.
We are asking for any assistance with the cost of his surgery and aftercare while he rehabs from the treatment, so we can have our precious boi back to his old sweet self.
