The McIlvoy Family

Donation protected
A military family of seven have lost everything to an extreme case of toxic mold in their home. John and his wife Shanna, along with their 5 girls ranging from 3 to 13 years old, recently discovered the existence of toxic mold growing in their home when renovating it. Shanna has developed toxic mold illness that doctors could not explain or diagnose for the last 4 years until the recent discovery of the mold infestation in their home that they were unaware of. Some symptoms that she has had to deal with while taking care of their family include dizzy spells, fatigue, weakness, headache, light sensitivity, poor memory, difficulty concentration, morning stiffness, joint pain, unusual skin sensations, tingling, numbness, shortness of breath, among other symptoms. Some people have no symptoms at all with mold but this is not the case for the McIlvoy’s. John and the kids are experiencing more minor symptoms and are managing with it but the stress of the whole situation is starting to show. Apart from that, research by toxicologists suggest that for guaranteed results of recovery, you must walk away from everything. The McIlvoy family will leave behind their house, cars, clothing, books, photos, toys, baby blankets, furniture, beds, special stuffed animals, yearbooks and so many more items and memories. Unlike a fire, insurance isn't helping the family recoup the cost of all that they have and will lose. This one income family doesn't have the means to replace everything. John is working overtime to try and keep up with the demands of the house and family. Even with all that, they are unable to afford what it will take to get back to normal. Their two biggest cost they are facing are large medical bills due to this not being a well-known illness and having to rebuild their entire life with all the things that have had to be thrown away. Right now they are living with friends to get out of the toxic environment that has plagued them for so many years. The McIlvoy family will need to get out from under their old house and buy a new one along with a new car. After moving into a new home, we would like to help them obtain basic needs such as towels, mattresses, bedding, furniture, clothing, food, diapers, children’s toys, etc. Please help this family by praying for them and donating what you can to help them build a life, free of toxic mold illness.
