McLean Medical Fund

Jim and Sue McLean are going through a tough time right now.  Jim is a self-employed contractor who suffered a fall a couple of weeks ago.  He fell from a roof and his foot was so badly broken it was completely detached from his leg.  It was “dangling” by the ligaments.  The other foot suffered a spiral break through the heel.   He has already undergone two surgeries and it will be several months before he will be able to put full weight on his foot and quite some time before he will be able to return to work.  His wife Sue was laid off from her job at Garbo Lobster two days after Jim’s fall.  They have no income at all right now.  They have the usual bills everyone else does……. mortgage, car payments, insurance, heat, utilities and food.  


Jim is an Army veteran of the first Gulf War, a former deputy and local police officer.  He served for several years as a Gouldsboro Selectman.  Sue is one of the most giving people and one of my best friends.  Many do not know what she does for others because she is a private person and does not toot her own horn.  Their youngest child is currently in college.   
 
Jim and Sue are proud people and do not ask for help……so I am asking for them.  Even if all you can spare is $5 it is more than they have right now.  It buys a gallon of milk.

This is a family who truly needs help through a tough time and when they are back on their feet, I can promise you they are the type of people who definitely would “Pay it Forward”  They do that sort of thing all the time as it is.
