Support 2 year-old Maya's cancer battle

A week ago our world came crashing down when our baby girl was diagnosed with pre B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
2 year-old Maya Sol Flores has always been a free spirit. She has always been a happy baby that loves being around her family, watching Spiderman into the spider-verse on repeat and singing along (in her squeaky voice) to Moana and Frozen . She is also a very tough girl. She can keep up with her older 4 year old brother- Leo- and all of her cousins even though they’re bigger than her. A week prior to her diagnosis Maya was as healthy and normal as any toddler could be. She was climbing, playing, dancing and had just started soccer.
At first, the bruises on her legs could be confused as rough housing with the boys but over the course of a few weeks the bruises only became more apparent and concerning.
On the evening of October 16, 2019 Maya's parents took her in for a check up. Her primary doctor ordered blood work and then sent them on their way.
On Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 2:30 am, Maya's parents were awoken by a telephone call from a hospital doctor urging them to bring her in because her platelets were abnormally low.
In the ER, doctors were concerned about Maya having a condition that could cause her platelets to drop and advised her parents that if so, treatment might be indicated and an IV should be started.
By 8 am Maya was admitted into their pediatric unit and still there were no answers. As the day progressed Maya would be stuck over 13 times to attempt to get an IV access and doctors would want to "run further testing".
Finally, a hematology/oncology doctor met with Maya's parents to confirm an unimaginable thought: Maya may have cancer. A bone marrow biopsy finally confirmed and caused the doctor to utter the words no parent should ever hear, "your daughter has Leukemia".
A day later and all in one day Maya had a lumbar puncture with intrathecal chemo (chemo in the spine), a PICC line inserted and another chemo administered via IV.
Maya is by far the strongest little human we have seen. At only a week into treatment, she has endured the horrible side effects of chemotherapy, a hospital-acquired infection in her PICC line that has prompted staff to remove it and place peripheral IV lines on her left hand and right foot, and above all, the hurt of being away from those who love her the most, especially her best friend and big brother, Leo.
Our family is devastated that Maya has been diagnosed at all, even more so at only age 2. We know it’s cliché to say but you never think this would happen to you or your family especially to a toddler. Ever since we found out this news, we’ve been like chickens without heads scrambling on how we’re going to deal with this. Obviously this is life-changing. Maya's parents are needing to figure out what to do with their finances, medical insurance, jobs, childcare and their overall livelihoods.
As a result, one of them has to stop working so that they can provide her with the 24/7 care and comfort she will need.
We have never been the type of family to ask for help when we didn’t need it and, I don’t think anybody really likes to ask for for help, especially financial help, but we are asking this time.
If you cannot help by monetary donation please help share this fundraiser so that we can raise enough funds to help this family stay afloat during the next two years battling this devastating diagnosis.

Once Maya is discharged from the hospital, we will organize to provide additional support to the family via food trains, help cleaning, running errands, etc.
