Lake Maurepas Safe Boating Project

Lake Maurepas Safe Boating Project was formed by volunteers in the area who are concerned about obstructions to safe boating in Lake Maurepas and surrounding areas. such as logs and other debris. We have now formed an unincorporated association to remove this material that can be identified. Cost of removing the 30 plus logs thus far identified could be up to $5000.
We have begun the project, so funds are needed immediately. The funds received for this project will be used to pay the cost of a barge and crane and other needed equipment.
Residents from many parishes in Louisiana boat in the Lake Maurepas area so the benefits of this project are widespread.
