My son, Matthew, was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital through the emergency room and has been there over over a month with autoimmune pancreatitis. He has undergone several operative proceedures, xrays, CT scans, etc. with the possibility of several more needed. He is expected to be in the hospital at least another month, perhaps more.
During this time he has been unable to work so along with the huge medical bills that are expected he is also having difficulties keeping up with his normal bills. Just one of the medications he will need to take will cost him about $500 per month. He has also become somewhat depressed since he is unable to work and worries about the bills.
He recently got engaged before he went in the hospital and his fiance, Ashley, has been by his side the entire time. She has two children and Matthew has a daughter of his own.
My husband and I are doing what we can to help but I'm afraid that's not going to be enough. Any financial assistance you can provide their family would be greatly appreciated.
