Welcome to our 6th Annual Fundraiser for Matthew Jacques Mission.
As many of you know, Matty was a funny, spunky little boy who spent most of his six short years in and out of hospitals with a heart defect from birth. Matty got his angel wings in September 2013 from complications after a heart transplant.
To keep Matty's memory alive, and help other critically ill children hospitalized over the Holidays to feel better we are once again selling Avon stuffed plush animals.
These stuffed plush will be donated in Matthew's memory to Yale Child Life Services during the holidays. What could be better for a young child, scared and hospitalized, than a large cuddly soft plush animal to hug and help ease the pain of a bad cough, to hold when they are lonely, to talk to when they feel alone. Some donors like to purchase one for a loved one of their own also.
I'm thrilled to say over the past five years, we have been able to place 1,046 stuffed plush in the arms of children. Past years saw Marble the Monkey (89), Curly the Bear (83), Eduardo the Elephant (167), Annie the Owl (477) and Rory the Lion (226 ). This year we are thrilled to introduce HERBIE THE HEDGEHOG to our collection of Avon stuffed plush.
We ask for your help to make Herbie our most popular plush yet by making your tax-deductible contribution and sharing this event on your social media pages.
Every $20 purchases one Herbie the Hedgehog. You may choose to donate yours, or keep him to gift to your own loved one. Additionally, the Mission, invests all proceeds from this fundraiser back into the event thereby doubling the number of plush to donate to Yale.
The Matthew Jacques Mission is a qualified 501(c)3 Non Profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
