Thank you for visiting our Gofundme page. From the bottom of our hearts we appreciate the love and support all of our friends and family have shown throughout this process.
As we have navigated the often turbulent waters of infertility and the healthcare system, we have discovered that life often does not work out as planned. What can come so easily to some, can be a source of struggle, isolation and sadness to others. No matter how much we want a baby, or how ready we are to be parents, there is nothing to be done about our biology. It just is not in the cards for us. As we have come to accept this seemingly negative and out-of-control aspect of our lives, we have also found the incredible opportunity to bring a child into our home through the adoption process. While we mourned the loss of a biologically related baby, we have become excited at the thought of saving a child from what might be a bad situation and provide a loving home. I want nothing more than to be a father and have all the experiences that I see my friends and family having with their own children. I can’t wait for the day I can teach my child to swim in the ocean, cheer for our favorite football team and watch them grow and learn with our support and guidance. My wife, who is the most humble, loving and nurturing person I have ever met, will make an incredible mother. Her steadfast resolve, caring nature and unwavering support have helped us overcome so many obstacles, and will provide the foundation for her to become the mother she is meant to be.
With that being said, the adoption process presents a significant financial burden (e.g., placement fee alone is $15,000). The goal of this online fundraising drive is to help us reduce the cost (not eliminate), as well as the stress that accompanies worrying about coming up with such a large sum of money. I am not the kind of person to usually ask for help but we need all the help we can get. Mere words cannot express how much your donations will mean to us. We will be forever thankful and once we have achieved our dream of having a family, we will pay it forward to the next. If we should be so lucky to have any funding left over, it will be donated to a couple who is struggling to begin a family of their own.
