Rwanda Missions Trip

Hello, my name is Matt Cruickshank. I am a Psychology major at Liberty University located in Lynchburg, Virginia. During my time at Liberty I am blessed enough with the opportunity to glorify God by playing for the Men's Hockey Team. My story and walk with Christ has been far from perfect, and unfortunately I spent many years far from God. It has been about 4 years now since I have regained my faith in Jesus Christ. I continue to grow in my faith everyday and use opportunities such as volunteering with youth sports in the community and playing on a hockey team that shares such passion for our Lord. The past few months I have been praying to God, asking how I can serve him and become the hands and feet of God on this earth. I unfortunately do not come from a family with an abundance ofmoney, and spend 50-60 hours a week in the summer working multiple jobs just to afford to be at the world's most beautiful university. With all that being said, it has been challenging and stressful for me to find an international missions trip that I can afford. But God has been answering my prayers and speaking to me to take the leap and finally go on a missions trip to not only help the lives of others, but to change my life forever. I understand and am humbled to know that this trip is in Gods will and plan for me, so I will come to accept whether I am able to travel to Rwanda or not. 
         If I do raise enough money to travel to Rwanda, I will be able to serve communities in Rwanda by taking part in various service projects and ministries while being immersed in the local culture and give students a deeper understanding, respect and love for the Rwandan people. Another amazing opportunity that I will get to have is to meet my sponsor child in Rwanda. Before committing to the trip I will be blessed with the opportunity to sponsor a child and be able to physically meet and spend time with that child. This is an opportunity of a lifetime that I would love for you to be part of.
