MASHONALAND FLYING CLUB

Mashonaland Flying Club. "The club is struggling, and we need to find a way of keeping it going, so that future generations of pilots can enjoy the gift of aviation." Mashonaland Flying club is a local flying club based in Harare Zimbabwe. The essence of this flying club is that it is more than just a flying club, but rather, it is an institution. It has been in existence very much since aviation has been around, nestled in a country that has an incredible aviation history. The Mashonaland Flying Club, aka MFC has been the birth place of not only literally generations of private pilots, in Southern Africa, but those too who went on to be successful commercial pilots, both locally and overseas in most of the major airlines around the world. The whole reason behind this crowd fund call is this. Zimbabwe is a country in major strife. The Mashonaland Flying Club is struggling to survive in a time in history where the system has left the country on its knees. We need to try and keep this historic flying club alive. The club is struggling, and we need to find a way of keeping it going, so that future generations of pilots can enjoy the gift of aviation.

My name is Steve Carter, and I am a overseas member of the Mashonaland Flying Club now living in Australia.

The club was the foundation of my flying career, and has been a big part of my life in the aviation business for 30 years.

Funds raised from this campaign are going to be used to maintain and service the aircraft that the flying club own.

The money will be withdrawn from the campaign and transferred to a campaign member, and current committee member of the flying club, who will then pass on the funds accordingly.
