We believe that by raising $500k we can get him to see the exciting green future of the Build Back Better act.  Just kidding. But we do need money to fund events that will place Joe Manchin where he belongs: alone and hated in the public eye for opposing climate, care and jobs. We just wrapped a 2 week volunteer hunger strike that was funded entirely by grassroots organizing, and we’re about to launch phase 2. Our names are Kidus, Abby, Paul, Ema, and Julie, and we are risking our bodies to demand Democrats deliver on their elected climate commitments, and pass the first pieces of the Green New Deal for climate justice. The urgency of now cannot be understated: This could be our last chance to pass federal climate policy for the rest of the decade and we won’t back down without a fight.
