Maryann Carroll Flynn Funeral Fund

Dear family and friends of Bridget, Colleen and Annie, 

It has been close to twenty years that Annie has been reliant on the care of her daughters. When she moved in with Bridget and Andrew they assumed responsibility for all of her daily needs, and as her health complications progressed, they provided for her medical expenses as well. Throughout the years of Annie's slow decline, Bridget and Colleen provided around the clock care for her themselves as she became completely reliant on them for bathing, feeding and nurturing. They accepted this wholly-consuming caretaker role from a very young age, out of their love for her and without complaint, but at great personal cost. Annie's illness was long and difficult, both emotionally challenging and physically exhausting. I know there are many of us who have admired the girls' devotion, commitment, and continued sacrifice, wishing there was more we could have done to shoulder the burden with them. Now after Annie's passing, many have asked, What can I do to help?

We have set up this fund for those who would like to honor Annie's memory in a very practical way. Because there was no insurance to cover the funeral costs, all expenses will ultimately be paid for out of pocket by Annie's girls. On behalf of Bridget and Colleen, our extended family has created this fund to give those with a desire to help the opportunity to do so by making a contribution towards Annie's funeral services. In lieu of flowers, please consider joining us as we express our love and support to Bridget and Colleen during their time of great loss. If your generosity helps this campaign to exceed its goal, any extra funds will be used towards recent medical expenses.
