Mary Lou Marion's Cancer Battle

Our loving mother of 4 and grandmother of 2, Mary Lou Marion, was recently diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Most people from out hometown of Terryville probably know her from her many years of working in the school district. It was devastating news for all of us but she is an incredibly strong woman and we have no doubt she'll beat this. One of the first things she said when telling us about her diagnosis was "I hope I don't miss any time from work." We want her to not worry about money and only focus on getting better. We know she would never ask for help so we're trying to raise some money to help with the medical costs and any time lost from work for living expenses. 

Chemotherapy just started this week and she'll be having treatments every other week for a few months. Once they're able to shrink the size of the tumor she'll undergo surgery.

In addition to this, two of us (Chris and Brody) will be running the Hartford half marathon on October 14th in her name to raise awareness.
