Mary-Anna's Leadership Conference

Mary-Anna has been selected to attend a People to People Leadership Ambassador Program in 2014. Mary-Anna was chosen based on her academic promise (A Honor Roll Student) and leadership potential (Student Council Representative and 4-H Youth) as a first year middle school student. She has participated in Drug Free Awareness Events, Recycling efforts and Community clean up. She is one of two elected 5th grade student council representatives, an active member in 4-H, and a member of The Green Beings, a family service group dedicated to recycling and cleaning up the community.Mary-Anna is excited about this opportunity to visit the Capitol and its landmarks as well as see government in action. The Leadership Program she will attend will allow her to delve into the leadership styles of prominent historical leaders and develop her own leadership skills and self-confidence while learning alongside some of the world's most motivated students.
