Martin's 7th CD, Living Things

Many of you have helped me before with spiritual encouragement and financial support, and I am truly grateful to know I have friends I can depend upon.
They say you've gotta ask the universe for what you want, so Universe, I'm asking, if you can, to help me bring my next CD, 'Living Things' into reality. I have a collection of meaningful and beautiful original songs I'd like to share (some familiar and some surprises!) and I could use your help. Songs include, God Loves, My Mother's World, Last Cup of Community, Sunflower, Momma Fish's Lullaby and more. I'll include some pieces created with my singing friends Deb and Matt (BRIO!) and perhaps some older songs from my lifetime of writing.
To record, produce and promote my 7th CD, 'Living Things', will cost approximately $9000 and I'd really appreciate your help in making it happen this winter. I know we will make a great CD!
So many artists are recording and promoting music it's easy for a great CD to get lost in the pile arriving on DJ's doorsteps every day. I've worked hard to make personal connection with many national and New England Folk DJ's but that's not enough to gain the kind of recognition which would garner me more opportunities to promote, tour and perform. In order to really get noticed and played will require some informed assistance and I'm lucky to have a friend (Erik Balkey) who successfully does this professionally and has agreed to take me on.

The largest portion of the expense is going into the recording process. That means I will be paying musician/friends to add their talents to my songs - I am an arts-Job Creator impacting my community with this project. Coincidentally, I manufacture my CD's locally as well - so again, this money you are helping me raise goes directly into Maine's economy.
I'm already meeting with my friend, engineer and producer, Ed Desjardins - who helped create the beautiful MOON CD - to make plans for setting the recording process in motion and it is my intention to have the CD in hand by late Spring of '17. Having the new CD in hand will make marketing myself to music festivals (like Kerrville Folk Festival) more immediate and likely - they respond well to a new product by a known artist.
We're already in the studio at Ed's recording on Sundays. (Music is my church!) and will continue through March and into April. Then we'll start mixing and mastering. In May we'll set the presses in motion with CD design, printing and manufacturing and have the product in hand before June. In order to make this happen, I need your help now.
