Pignone family relief fund

The wife, Martie (3 time breast cancer survivor, beginning from age 28), of a good friend and co-worker (Tony Pignone) who is dedicated to her family, was diagnosed in the end of September 2014 with stage 4 intestinal and bone cancer. The cancer is inoperable and has spread to other vital parts of the body. Martie and Tony were told that there is a time frame by the doctor. Our employer does not supply vacation days, sick days or PTO in any form (the goal is to send Martie and Tony on a vacation together, as well as supply some support towards the expenses they are facing). The Pignone family is incurring heavy medical bills already, and for a good friend..I want to find a way to help (and was referred here). Any type of help in any way would be greatly appreciated. I set the goal at 10,000 USD, but honestly..anything at all would help so they may spend time together with the precious time she has left. Unfortunately, things seem to have taken a turn for the worse. The 1-2 year expectancy has diminished, and hospice care is now being talked about. Martie has been in the hospital for about two weeks now and has undergone multiple procedures. At this point in time, this fund is primarily going towards bills and medications.
