Rebuilding from Maria - Puerto Rico

Donation protected
When Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, it destroyed an already weakened electrical grid in a U.S. territory suffering from recession. Millions of people have been impacted by the destructive forces of this storm. Four of those people are Martha Vigo, Joshua Pineiro, Monserrate Vigo, and Rene Vigo who live in Manati, Puerto Rico . While downed communications prevent us from receiving images of the destruction of their homes, these photos from The Atlantic give us some idea of what they must be going through.  Many of you have given to campaigns for Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria, and the earthquakes that hit Mexico. Thank you for your generosity! If you are looking for a personal way to help a family in need, please consider donating to this campaign. The money raised will be entrusted to Martha’s son Miguel (a friend and coworker of mine), a Navy veteran who lives in Florida, who will utilize the funds to purchase and deliver the supplies and provide the sustenance the family needs to help them rebuild their lives. Depending on when he is able to send them once travel and communications open up on the island, these supplies may include food, water, and materials to rebuild their home.
