Support for Mark Shanklin's Family

As many of you know, Mark Shanklin passed away from a heart attack recently.



A staff member found him on the floor in the basketball gym after playing during his break. At first they thought he was just resting, but then soon realized what had happened. They called the paramedics, did CPR but he had already gone to be present with the Lord before he was found. They said he looked peaceful, and I don't doubt it. ...It would be Mark to die while "playing" on his lunch break.



Saying Mark was an amazing husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend just doesn't do the man justice as he was so much more than that.  

On top of everything, he was the primary caregiver for his wonderful wife Sharon, who suffers from Fibromyalgia/M.E./CFS which means she must rest regularly and cannot exert herself. Mark loved his wife tremendously and did all the shopping, cooking, cleaning, and household maintenance and yard care.



During this transition time as Sharon and the family are figuring out the financial situation and living needs for Sharon, we would like to provide some "bridge" funds for Sharon's care, to help with regular cleaning, assisting with shopping services, yard care, cleaning, bills, etc.   



Mark was one of those guys that didn't just talk, he took action. He lived his life to the fullest and lived it by loving people unconditionally, being present with them and never asked for anything in return.

If you feel led to help during this difficult time, it would be wonderful to tribute to Mark's legacy of unabashed giving by helping take care of the woman he loved so much and would do anything for.
