Volunteer Trip to Puerto Rico

Hi, my name is Danielle Galella from Bluffton, South Carolina. I am raising money to benefit people in Puerto Rico affected by Hurricane Maria. My boyfriend Jay, who is from Luquillo PR, and I will be traveling there October 18th to October 22nd. We hope to be able to find families whose homes were destroyed by the flooding and help clean up the inside of their homes and provide them with materials to help them start rebuilding their lives.  Building materials, cleaning supplies, household items, food, water, clothes and anything else people may still be lacking will be bought with the funds raised. Any unused donations (or all of the donations in the event our flight is cancelled) will be given to Unidos por Puerto Rico, an initiative started by Puerto Rico's first lady to provide aid to those affected by Hurricane Maria and Irma. Due to accessibility we will most likely be seeking to help families in San Juan and the Rio Grande area. However, we have a car and if there is an address you want  to be checked on or family you still have not heard from we may be able to dedicate a day checking on properties and loved ones. With the trip less  than a month away we do not have much time to reach our goal. Please share to help us reach our goal and provide as much aid as possible to the people of Puerto Rico. This is a place very dear to our hearts and we wish we could do more. But every little bit helps and it starts with your donations.
