Thank you all for your suport!!! My goal was $10,000, and with the generosity of many that have doanted privatley and directly to me (almost $6,000!).Coupled with the generosity of those that gave through my gofundme-Maria Relief, I was able to drop my goal to $4,000, leaving me just under $2,000 to reach my goal!! Much love to all of you. I've already purchased quite a few items and will spend every dime tonight, tomorrow and all week, getting everything they need and shipped off. Your donations are going to help so many. I will be posting pictures of everything your donation helped me to purchase. As well as those that are recieving them. Video as well. As many of you know, my family and I’s beloved homeland, Puerto Rico, was ravaged and destroyed by Hurricane Maria. Our fellow Americans, over 3.4 million of them, are in dire straits. While I am very thankful my family was physically unharmed, their town (along with many others) were all but leveled and the vast majority of citizens remain without power (the government is saying they’re looking at 4 to 6 months before restoration), water, cellphone and landline service.
What is needed most right now are generators and water purification tablets and filters. We realize not everyone is in a position to help financially, but should you be able to give even a small amount, it will be put to good use.
Alternatively, if you have any of the following items laying around your house and would consider donating them, we have a drop off location. The following items are what are most needed and we can package and take with us:
• Batteries (C& D)
• Flashlights
• Battery operated lanterns (or something similar)
If you can and choose to donate money, we will purchase these items and provide a receipt of purchase, and donation receipt. Your donation will go a long way to help those in need! Thank you so much! Please feel free to share.
